Frequently asked
What counts as an authorization?
Every call to /authorize counts toward your plan's monthly quota — whether it's approved, sent for human approval, or declined by policy. This matches how usage-based API quotas work elsewhere: it's the request that's metered, not just the ones that succeed.
Does Paitify move my money?
No. Paitify is a decision and audit layer only — not a payment processor, money transmitter, or e-money institution. We never hold, transmit, or custody funds. Charging a card or settling with a merchant stays entirely on your own systems and payment providers.
What happens when I hit my plan's limit?
Requests exceeding your plan's monthly authorization quota are rejected until the quota resets at the next billing cycle, or you upgrade. Design your agents to handle a quota-exceeded response gracefully.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Your account data (company profile, policy configuration) is retained for 30 days after termination so you can export it, then deleted.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Nothing is lost. Your audit log is append-only by design — downgrading never deletes history. What changes is how much your plan keeps visible in the dashboard and API: 7 days on Free, 90 on Starter, 365 on Growth. History outside that window still exists and becomes visible again if you upgrade. If you close your account, data is handled per our retention policy — see our Privacy Policy.
